The Recess Maker Series
The Recess Maker Series offers a dynamic 3-to-5-day activity each term during the school recess, aligning with termly celebrations. These sessions maximise student participation by incorporating a mix of high-tech tools like coding and 3D printing with low-tech materials such as boards and LEGO, enabling students to create tangible artifacts. Activities are carefully differentiated based on students' academic level and their readiness.
The objectives are to:
Provide an environment of purposeful play for students to ideate and construct objects using digital and physical fabrication tools.
Implement the 5I Innovation Model to guide the creative process.
Foster a culture of peer-to-peer learning and collaborative problem-solving.
