About the CCA
The Girls’ Brigade (GB) is an international, uniformed youth organization dedicated to developing girls to their fullest potential. As the 80 company of GB, our mission is to help girls develop qualities of leadership, exemplary character, and a spirit of citizenship. Through a rich blend of physical, social, and educational activities, we provide a safe and nurturing environment where girls can discover their identity and purpose. Ultimately, we aim to groom every member into a confident leader ready to serve the community.
Key Learning Experiences
Badgework and Skills Progression: Girls participate in structured lessons to earn badges in diverse areas such as first aid, home economics, leadership, and outdoor survival.
Drill and Discipline Training: Regular footdrill sessions build precision, coordination, and a strong sense of collective discipline.
Community Involvement Programme (CIP): Members actively plan and execute service-learning projects to give back to the community and support the vulnerable.
Outdoor Adventure & Camping: Annual camps and outdoor activities challenge girls physically and mentally through team-building games, low elements, and navigation.
Student Development
Through their participation in this CCA, students develop:
Leadership & Confidence: Girls are given opportunities to lead squads, plan company events, and command drills, finding their unique voice as leaders.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Working closely within squads fosters strong bonds, teaching girls how to communicate effectively and support one another to achieve common goals.
Responsibility & Discipline: Wearing the uniform with pride instills a deep sense of accountability, time management, and personal grooming standards.
Resilience & Perseverance: Overcoming physical challenges during camps and striving for high standards in drill competitions builds mental toughness and a "never give up" attitude.
Highlights / Signature Programmes
Annual GB Camp: A signature multi-day camp filled with outdoor adventure, and intensive bonding activities that forge lifelong friendships.
GB Friend in Need: A national event where our girls interact with and bless beneficiaries from various social service agencies through gifts.
Enrolment and Recognition Ceremony: A formal annual parade where new recruits are officially welcomed, and existing members are recognized with badges and promotions for their hard work.
