About the CCA
Badminton CCA provides students with opportunities to develop fundamental badminton skills, physical fitness, and a lifelong appreciation for an active lifestyle. Through regular training and friendly competitions, students learn discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship while striving for personal improvement. The programme caters to students of different abilities, allowing them to build confidence and progressively refine their technical, tactical, and game-play skills. Students also have opportunities to represent the school in competitions, demonstrating resilience, responsibility, and pride in their school community.
Key Learning Experiences
Learn to understand and apply basic rules of badminton
Learn and apply skills such as service, footwork, forehand and backhand shots
Learn sportsmanship and values of fair play, teamwork and discipline
Have leadership opportunities for holistic developement
Student Development
Through their participation in this CCA, students develop:
Physical competence - improving students’ agility, coordination, balance, speed, endurance and overall fitness through structured training
Character and values - Fostering discipline, resilience, respect and responsibility during training and competition.
Social and leadership skills - encouraging teamwork, effective communication, peer support and opportunities for students to take on leadership roles such as team captains.
Confidence and growth mindset - helping students set personal goals, embrace challenges, learn from mistakes and celebrate continuous improvement.
